Our Village offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities. We believe that there is a way for almost everyone to get involved as a productive volunteer. Our specific needs vary from time-to-time. Check out the list below, then give us a call.
Drivers
Take our Village members to and from appointments, activities, supermarket, and other destinations throughout the area.
Practical Services
Help our members get things done in the house and around town. Do minor home repairs. Install or take down storm windows or air conditioners. Organize and clear clutter. Read to members with impaired vision. Make a friendly visit. Assist in understanding vendor contracts. Perform gardening and lawn care work, and more.
Technology and Media
Help our members with routine technology and social media requests. Examples of requests we have had: Help install and trouble-shoot desktop computers (both Windows and MACs), printers, smartphones, tablets, and applications; do training on standard applications, explain/set-up Facebook and other social media, Skype and other messaging, Netflix and other TV-based applications, etc.
General Programs; Health and Wellness Programs
Help organize activities/outings, trips, club/affinity group meetings, and interest groups. For Health and Wellness provide support after hospitalization, make daily telephone check-in calls, daily telephone check-ins, memory/dementia support, and more.

Easthampton Neighbors has a partnership with Pioneer Valley Memory Care which is administered by MGH/CDH. EN recruits potential memory care support volunteers to become supporting friends with EN members who are part of the PVMCI program.
